Welcome to Web Design #201...
Thank you for your interest in our Web Design Class. A website's first impression MUST be a lasting one. It's imperative to capture your visitor's attention in the first 15 seconds. You want to engage your visitors and keep them coming back again and again. Make sure your website invites clients to stay and browse for as long as possible. Give your website as much attention and thought as you would to your company brochure, products and services.
This class is not an entry-level "HTML for dummies" nor is it meant to be a detailed blueprint to everything you need to know. Some knowledge of HTML coding and graphic software is needed. The goal of this class is to offer some hints & tips to help improve your website design and offer some advice avoiding common mistakes. We will show you what to consider when choosing HTML software and how to make your site easy to use AND navigate.
We also included a lesson on common web graphic formats. We'll discuss reasons why certain websites are 'more successful' than others. You can lose visitors for a simple reason like a broken link or poor navigation. Other websites just need creative marketing and some minor adjustments to make them search engine friendly. A clear website purpose and proper design can help you avoid common pitfalls that cause your visitors to leave quickly.
